A very live and historic pic of Rashid Minhas Shaheed. He is standing on extreme side of the pic. This is complete 51 GD(P) Course. Three amongist coursemates rose to the Chiefs of the Air Staff. Air Chief Marshal kaleem Saddat became Chief Of the Air Staff PAF whereas two others became Chiefs of Bangladesh Air Force. Air Vice Marshal Zakaullah is another Air Officer from the same course. Picture taken by elder sister Rukhsana at residence circa 1968 is the only picture where Rashid is wearing uniform while on vacation (he was usually very particular about not putting on uniform when off-durty).
Rashid is second from right (standing next to the servant). The picture was taken while he was a cadet at PAF Academy, Risalpur, c.1969

The Last resting Place of Rashid Minhas : Pilot officer Rashid minhas was the youngest recipient of Nishan-e-Haider he was 20 years old. Minhas was on a routine training flight when his
trainer forced him to flew the plain to India but he refused to do so and sacrificed for great cause. Rashid minhas trainer Mati-ur-rehman who was trying to hijack the plane was a Bengali who buried in Pakistan and recently Pakistani government returned his remaining to Bangladesh. In Bangladesh rehman was awarded Bangladesh’s highest award Bir Sreshtho.In Karachi most of Karachite dont know where our War hero is buried. He is buried in Army graveyard behind shara-e-faisal near CSD.
